More About the Plastic Surgeons at Fort Worth Plastic Surgery

Robert G. Anderson, MD, earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. Following medical school, Dr. Anderson completed residency training in plastic and reconstructive surgery and otolaryngology as well as fellowship training in otology, neurotology and skull base surgery. He spent more than five years as a full-time faculty member at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and has authored a number of scientific articles and book chapters. Dr. Anderson has been a member of the editorial board of Selected Readings in Plastic Surgery since 1987. He has devoted a great deal of his time to volunteer efforts with various medical missionary programs in the Fijian Islands and, more recently, in Mexico and Central America.

Dr. Anderson is board certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is affiliated with a number of professional medical societies, including the two most prominent plastic surgery societies: the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the prestigious American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Matthew Steele, MD, received both his bachelor’s degree and medical degree at the University of Florida, and completed both degree programs in seven years. He then fulfilled an internship and residency in otolaryngology at the Louisiana Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, La. While performing his residency, one of Dr. Steele’s mentors, an otolaryngologist / plastic surgeon, encouraged him to pursue training in plastic surgery, which he did during an advanced training fellowship in plastic surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Following his fellowship, Dr. Steele was invited to join the faculty at the University of Florida, where he taught undergraduate and medical students. Dr. Steele often performs volunteer work; for example, he has performed reconstructive plastic surgery to correct cleft lips / palates for children in underserved communities in Honduras, as part of medical missions. Dr. Steele has been an integral part of the Fort Worth Plastic Surgery team for several years.

Steven M. Camp, MD, obtained his bachelor’s degree at Texas A&M University, graduating with honors. He earned his medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Science Center, School of Medicine. Dr. Camp then completed a highly competitive general surgery residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C. Following his general surgery residency, he also completed a residency in plastic surgery at the University of Utah. Dr. Camp went on to fulfill an advanced training fellowship in aesthetic plastic surgery at the Aesthetic Plastic Surgical Institute in Laguna Beach, Calif., under the guidance of renowned plastic surgeon Daniel C., Mills, II, MD. Dr. Camp was then invited to join the surgical team at Fort Worth Plastic Surgery.
