Dr. Rubinstein performs a uniquely tailored procedure called breast lift with auto-augmentation, which involves using the patient's own breast tissue to augment the breasts without the need for an implant. This sophisticated breast surgery procedure involves transferring tissue from the base of the patient's breast to lift the breast while enhancing volume. Dr. Rubinstein has developed special processes and techniques to ensure that each breast enhancement treatment is custom tailored to fit the physical needs and aesthetic desires of the patient. Prior to performing breast enhancement surgery, Dr. Rubinstein asks his patients to shop for their desired breasts by gathering five to six images that best reflect their own aesthetic desires. This allows him to gain a deep understanding of each patient's desired size, shape and overall feel of the breasts. During the surgery, Dr. Rubinstein keeps the photographs in the operating room while using a temporary implant (also known as a sizer) to closely match the breasts with the patient's aesthetic desires. Once he has determined the best implant size and shape, Dr. Rubinstein positions the permanent breast implant and makes any necessary adjustments to correct for asymmetry and produce the most accurate and individually tailored outcome. Using this process, Dr. Rubinstein is able to produce stunning aesthetic results.

More About Adam J. Rubinstein, MD, FACS

Adam J. Rubinstein, MD, FACS, completed his undergraduate studies at Brooklyn College and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the St. Louis University School of Medicine. He served his general surgery residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center and his plastic surgery residency at Christus – St. Joseph Hospital. Dr. Rubinstein also completed a fellowship in pediatric plastic surgery as well as hand and microsurgery. He has studied under the mentorship of some of the world's most eminent plastic and reconstructive surgeons and has served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Jackson North Medical Center. Dr. Rubinstein is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at NOVA Southeastern University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a proud member of many professional associations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Bariatric Plastic Surgeons and the Ralph Millard Jr., M.D. Medical Society & Education Foundation.
